If your pet is experiencing a life-threatening emergency such as severe difficulty breathing, collapse, seizures, or major trauma, please call our clinic immediately. During regular business hours, our team is prepared to provide emergency, lifesaving care. In some cases, more advanced or ongoing treatment may be required, but calling us first allows our team to assess the situation and guide you to the most appropriate next steps for your pet’s care.

If you’re unsure whether your pet’s symptoms require immediate attention, give us a call. One of our team members will walk you through what’s happening and help you determine the safest next steps for your pet’s health and comfort.

Urgent Care FAQs

What’s the difference between an urgent care visit and an emergency?
K
L

Urgent care is for medical concerns that require prompt attention but are not life-threatening. An office hours emergency involves life-threatening conditions that require immediate medical care for survival.

Examples of life-threatening emergencies include:

  • Being hit by a car
  • Severe difficulty breathing
  • Inability to urinate
  • Excessive or uncontrolled bleeding
  • Abdominal bloating
  • Collapse or seizures

If you believe your pet is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call our office immediately at (724) 939-6487.

Is All Pet Animal Hospital equipped to handle life-threatening emergencies during regular hours?
K
L

Yes. During our regular business hours, our medical team is equipped to provide emergency and life-saving care. However, in cases of major trauma or severe illness, additional 24-hour care or advanced stabilization may be required. If your pet is experiencing a life-threatening medical concern, please call our clinic immediately at (724) 939-6487 so we can prepare for your arrival.

What if my pet needs hospitalization or surgery during the visit?
K
L
Our doctor will discuss all recommended treatment options with you and review next steps. In some cases, specialty surgery or 24-hour monitoring may be required. If that level of care is needed, we will coordinate a transfer to a trusted specialty or emergency hospital.
Can I drop my pet off for an urgent care visit?
K
L
We offer a limited number of drop-off appointments each day. If you’re interested in a drop-off option, please call our office to check availability and review drop-off instructions.
What payment options do you accept?
K
L
We do not offer in-house payment plans. We accept major credit cards, checks, cash, CareCredit, Trupanion and Scratchpay. Our team will review all treatment estimates with you before proceeding.
How do I schedule an urgent care appointment?
K
L
If your pet has a non-life-threatening medical concern, please call our office to check same-day urgent care availability. We also accept walk-ins; however, calling ahead helps us better prepare for your pet’s arrival.
Do you offer urgent care after business hours?
K
L
We do not offer urgent care services outside of our regular business hours. If your pet requires medical attention when we are closed, please contact a local urgent care or emergency facility.
